Haroon Mirza was born in London, 1977 where he is now based. He studied MA Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art & Design (2007) and BA (Hons) Painting at Winchester School of Art (2001). He won the Silver Lion at the 2011 Venice Biennial for most promising young artist and the Northern Art Prize in 2010. Recent exhibitions include: Preoccupied Waveforms, The New Museum, New York (2012); --{}{}{} {}--{}{}{}{}--{}, Ernst Schering Foundation, Berlin (2012); /|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|, Spike Island, Bristol (2012); I saw square triangle sine, Camden Arts Centre, London (2011) and The British Art Show, touring exhibiton (2010). Mirza is represented by Lisson Gallery, London.
