Michael Fullerton’s limited edition The Gold Bride, 2015 was produced on the occasion of his solo exhibition at S1 Artspace. Prussian Blue presents newly commissioned work by Fullerton alongside a personal selection of historical works from Sheffield’s City Collection, cared for by Museums Sheffield. The image is taken from James Sant’s original oil painting, The Bride which forms part of the collection and which also features in the exhibition as a large-scale nine panel screen print.

Michael Fullerton (born 1971 in Bellshill, Scotland) lives and works in Glasgow. Fullerton graduated with BA and MFA from The Glasgow School of Art in 2002. Recent solo exhibitions include: Meaning Inc., Greene Naftali, New York and Glasgow Print Studio, Glasgow (2014); Columbia, Chisenhale Gallery, London (2010); Pleasure in Nonsense, Carl Freedman Gallery, London (2007) and Get Over Yourself, Greene Naftali Gallery, New York (2006). Recent group exhibitions include: It happens without you, Kendall Koppe, Glasgow (2014); A Picture Show, GoMA, Glasgow (2013); Dawn Chorus, Leeds Art Gallery (2012) and British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet, Nottingham, London, Glasgow and Plymouth (2010–11). His work is part of international collections including the Arts Council Collection, V&A Museum Collection, Cranford Collection, Channel 4 Art Collection, Zabludowicz Collection and the Saatchi Collection.
