Simon Bill’s screen print Hello Louise, 2011 was produced to coincide with the launch of his first novel BRAINS, published by Cabinet II in July 2011. BRAINS follows the life of a drunken and dissolute painter who has taken up an artist-residency post at the Norman Neurological Institute in central London.
Simon Bill was born in Kingston upon Thames, 1958 and lives and works in Sheffield. Bill studied at Central St Martin's and the RCA, London. Recent exhibitions include: Simon Bill, Patrick Painter, Santa Monica (2012); Modernism has two faces..., Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute (2011); The Long Dark, Kettles Yard, Cambridge (2010); The Sculpture Show, V22 Gallery, London (2009) and BUTTERCUPS AND DAISIES, Patrick Painter, Santa Monica (2009).
